Spartan Motors names new executive

Charlotte, Mich. - Spartan Motors Inc. has named Art Ickes president of its Spartan Chassis unit.
He replaces Richard Schalter, who resigned last week. Ryan McGrath, a spokesman for the specialty vehicle and chassis maker, said the change takes effect immediately.
Ickes formerly was vice president of operations.
