Tim Kuhler and Tom Killmer have agreed to serve on the council, created with the primary mission of reviewing and analyzing issues of impact and interest to Club members and making recommendations to Good Sam Club management.
Kuhler, a resident of Kerrville, Texas, retired last year after 45 years in the banking industry. Most recently, he was executive vice president at Kleberg Bank in Kingsville, Texas, and still serves on its board of directors. Kuhler and his wife, Darlene, have been RVing for more than 15 years. They’ve owned two fifth-wheels and are now on their third motorhome. They are long-time members of Good Sam Club, Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) and Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicles Club (HRRVC). Kuhler recently served as president of the Sparkling City Chapter of HRRVC.
Killmer is well known within Good Sam Club for his role as Vermont State Director during the past four years. He has been a Good Sam Club member since 1977, and is a Charter Life Member. Killmer and his wife, Nancy are also members of the Winnebago Manufacturers’ Club (WIT). They began camping in 1977 with a pop-up camper and cabin tent. Because their four children and their friends needed more room, they eventually graduated to a previously owned 1972 Mini-Winnie, and now travel in an Itasca Suncruiser.
Killmer is a 38-year propane industry veteran, holding senior, regional and local management positions in major propane marketing companies. He is presently Suburban Propane’s National-major accounts manager and is responsible for national account customers in 49 states. Several of his customers are involved in the RV and campground industry. He has also taken on leadership responsibilities in several major propane gas associations, including serving as president of the New England Propane Gas Association. Kilmer is active in the New England Propane Education and Research Council and the New England Propane Gas Association and safety committee.
“We are extremely delighted to announce this important initiative for Good Sam Club,” said Tom Gonser, Good Sam Council Chairman. “Both appointees are long-time RVers and Good Sam Club devotees, and will be active champions for advancement of the interests of Good Sam Club and its more than one million members nationwide. Please join me in thanking them for past and future service.”
Kuhler and Killmer join the Council following the resignation of Council member Leo Everitt. They join members Bill Estes, Jan McNeill, and Gonser.
