Dear Jan F&I Column
RV Trade Digest is thrilled to be launching its Web site redesign later this week. To help our readers navigate the new site we will be blogging about some of the site’s new features.
One of the new sections we will be featuring in the magazine every month, as well as online, is a new “Dear Jan” F&I column. Jan Kelly, of Kelly Enterprises, will be fielding any F&I questions our readers wish to have answered.
All questions submitted to Jan Kelly will be answered immediately and select questions will be featured, with Jan’s response, in RV Trade Digest magazine. Some entries may also be featured in one of the RV Trade Digest blogs.
For more information feel free to visit www.rvtradedigest.com and watch Jan Kelly’s video on how to participate.
To submit a question to Jan Kelly you can either e-mail JanKelly@rvtradedigest.com or go to www.rvtradedigest.com and click the “e-mail you questions here” under Jan Kelly’s photo/logo.

What I would like to see you publish is something about extended warranty plans. Phoenix American is the worse company that I ever had to deal with as a repair center in my life. They are not automated, take claims over the phone, they lie and give false fax numbers, they lower your parts request and labor rates. They even make you re-word your “probable cause” to there liking just to prolong the process of getting a customers unit repaired. Its going on two months and I have been doing everything they ask me to do and just when you think your finally gonna get paid they find something else wrong. I dont reccomend that our RV community need bother with these people. My complaint wont end here Ill do my best to get the word out to our RV community that if they have a extended warranty plan under phoenix american they would be better off replacing it with a more customer friendly and reapir center friendly plan. They are listed all over google and the web sites as “Rip Off” artists and after trying to submit a claim on behalf of one of my customers I believe it. This very long process is still pending today. I think the RV Dealers should not even offer this plan to there clients unless they are prepared to wait forever to get anykind of resolution. If you would like more information on this bad business expierience that i am expieriecing with this company just ask me about it. Thank you. Owner/Great Outdoors Mobile RV Service
